Alex previously ran a mobile dog grooming service across West Leeds and is now proud to offer a tranquil and professional environment for grooming sessions at The Dog Groomer salon in Rodley, Leeds.
With qualifications in City and Guilds Dog Grooming Level 3, as well as being a Reiki practitioner and certified in canine first aid, you can be confident your dog is in the best hands.

FULL GROOM - DE-SHEDDING & TIDY
The de-shedding groom is ideal for smooth and double-coated breeds, to keep the coat and skin healthy. Double coats shouldn't be clipped as their coats are specially designed to keep them warm in cold weather AND cool in summer.

FULL GROOM - HAND-STRIPPING
(Certain coats only)
Handstripping is suited mainly to wire and silky coats coats. This technique removes only the dead hairs at the end of the growth cycle, to reveal the shiny, healthy coat beneath. Done correctly, handstripping maintains the strong, healthy texture of the coat that clipping would otherwise soften. BATH, BRUSH AND DRY ONLY
Your dog will be treated to the luxury Hydrobath experience, with shampoos and treatments tailored to their coat and needs, followed by a salon dry, brush and comb through.
Ideal for in-between full grooms, to help you maintain the coat.

PUPPY INTRO SESSIONS
These sessions are designed to introduce your puppy gradually to the new sounds and sensations of the grooming salon, to prevent any future stress or anxiety associated with grooming and turn it into a positive, enjoyable experience.
A dog who is comfortable and confident in the salon will enjoy their regular grooming visits and happily allow the groomer to do their best work, so they can leave the salon feeling and looking great!
Over 3-4 shorter, more regular, sessions, I will introduce your puppy to the grooming process, working up to their first full groom. These can begin once they are fully vaccinated.

De-matting
All services listed are based on a well maintained coat, which is regularly brushed and combed at home and follows an agreed grooming schedule. I will attempt to remove individual mats and save the coat if this is likely to be possible. If the coat is heavily matted, it will need to be shaved off so we can make your dog feel comfortable and start the grooming schedule from scratch. There will be an additional charge for this, on top of the service price, which will depend of the size of the dog and severity of the matting.
